How to take care of your candles?

Improper use or lack of maintenance of your spark plugs could lead to serious consequences. As they say: We don't play with fire! This is why we include with each of our candles, a card explaining how to take good care of your candles in addition to indicating it below. All of our candles are tested to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in effect in Canada. In the event of non-compliance with these instructions, we cannot be held responsible for any damage whatsoever.

  • Place the candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface.

  • The candle should burn for 4 hours when first used and 1 to 4 hours thereafter. The surface must be melted to the edges to avoid hollowing.

  • Avoid drafts (window, ventilation) to avoid wobbling, smoke or spillage.

  • Never leave a candle unattended, even for a minute. Make sure it is out of reach of children, animals or near any objects.

  • Keep the candle away from heat and direct sunlight.

  • Trim wick to 1/4" (5-7mm) before each use to reduce smoke and soot.

  • Stop using the candle when less than 1/2" (1-1.5 cm) of wax remains.
